About the role

As a Power BI Architect, you will make an impact by designing and delivering scalable, data-driven analytics and automation solutions that enable smarter decision-making and improved operational efficiency. You will be a valued member of the analytics and data engineering team and work collaboratively with business stakeholders, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to translate complex data into actionable insights.

In this role, you will:

  • Design integrated analytics solutions using Power BI, MS Excel, and SQL data sources to deliver clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders
  • Develop scalable reporting architectures that standardize metrics and visualizations for consistent performance tracking across regions and functions
  • Build and optimize data models and semantic layers to ensure high performance, usability, and maintainability
  • Create advanced, pixel-perfect reports using Power BI Report Builder for operational, financial, and regulatory requirements
  • Develop robust data pipelines and reusable SQL queries to ensure high-quality, traceable data integration across enterprise systems
  • Implement automated workflows using Power Automate to streamline notifications, approvals, and data refresh processes
  • Apply GenAI fundamentals to create intelligent analytics experiences, including guided insights and prompt-based exploration
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions aligned with data strategy
  • Optimize Power BI Service environments, including capacity management, workspace organization, and governance controls
  • Perform performance tuning across SQL queries, data models, and reporting layers to ensure reliability and speed
  • Document solution designs, data definitions, and operating procedures to support long-term sustainability
  • Promote best practices in data visualization, storytelling, and ethical data usage

What you need to have to be considered:

  • 10–14 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or solution architecture
  • Strong expertise in Power BI (Desktop, Service) and Power BI Report Builder for end-to-end reporting solutions
  • Advanced SQL skills, including schema design, query optimization, and data integrity management
  • Proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, modeling, and rapid prototyping
  • Experience building data pipelines and integrating multiple enterprise data sources
  • Hands-on experience with Power Automate for workflow automation
  • Foundational understanding of GenAI concepts applied to analytics and user experience
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Experience designing secure, scalable solutions for distributed or remote environments

  • Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst Associate
  • Microsoft Certified Azure Database Administrator Associate
  • Experience implementing governed self-service analytics frameworks
  • Strong expertise in data visualization best practices and storytelling
  • Experience driving enterprise-wide adoption of analytics solutions

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until July 19, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $88,000 - $140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
