About the role
As a Lead Quality Engineer (Retail & Supply Chain), you will make an impact by driving enterprise-scale quality engineering strategies and delivering robust, automated testing solutions for high-impact digital products in the Retail and Supply Chain domain (required). You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with product management, development, and operations stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
• Lead and implement quality engineering strategies to ensure high-performing, resilient merchandising applications
• Design and scale automated testing frameworks using Playwright and TypeScript for functional, regression, and end-to-end testing
• Build and maintain API test automation using Rest Assured to ensure integration quality, data accuracy, and performance
• Integrate automated testing into Azure-based CI/CD pipelines to improve release speed and defect detection
• Partner with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria, quality metrics, and ensure alignment with retail business workflows

What you need to have to be considered
• Strong experience in Playwright and TypeScript for test automation
• Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot for development productivity and code quality
• Expertise in Azure DevOps / CI-CD pipelines and automated test execution
• Proven background in Retail and Supply Chain domain
• Experience building API automation frameworks using Rest Assured

• Experience with large-scale retail transformation programs
• Strong root cause analysis and defect prevention capabilities
• Experience optimizing test data for retail workflows (inventory, pricing, promotions, fulfillment)
• Ability to mentor teams and drive quality best practices

Salary and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until June 19, 2026.
The annual salary for this position is between $71100– $112,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
